Gramercy Real Estate

Gramercy apartments provide a nice place to live for individuals, couples and families. Gramercy is a relatively small neighborhood on the east side of Manhattan that runs from Park Avenue to 1st Avenue and from 14th Street to 23rd Street. Its signature landmark and namesake is Gramercy Park, a beautiful, private garden and park open to residents who pay an annual fee and possess a key. The adjacent area is one of the more coveted places to live in the city with its proximity to Union Square, residential feel and low-key atmosphere.

As one would expect, real estate close to the Park is extremely expensive, but moving further east past Third Avenue, prices tend to get cheaper. Townhouses and mid-rise doorman buildings dominate this area and house a mix of young professionals, families and an older demographic. For those who have a tight budget but still want to live in this part of the city, Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village may be a nice option with fully renovated apartments and low prices.

One of the nicest blocks in all of NYC, Irving Place, is located in Gramercy. It connects the Park to 14th Street and possesses a certain peacefulness that is hard to find in the city. Quality restaurants, upscale bars and a coffee shop cover this tree-lined street. Further up, the Gramercy Park Hotel offers chic amenities for dining and drinks, with a favorite of many being the Roof Club and Garden.
