Tudor City apartments offer residents a great place to live in a tiny neighborhood. Tudor City is a small enclave in Midtown East that runs from 1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue and from 40th Street up to 43rd Street. It is a tight-knit community that includes a series of buildings that were built in the early 1900’s. Marked by a sign that reads “TUDOR CITY,” this section of Manhattan is raised with a cliff looking over 1st Avenue and has a viaduct with a walkway over 42nd Street. It has rich historical significance and possesses some great architecture throughout its limited area.
Real estate offerings are comprised of various-sized mid and high-rise apartment buildings, primarily split between rentals and coops. The majority of views from these buildings are some of the best in the city with the United Nations, East River, Chrysler building and local parks nearby. The neighborhood generally appeals to an older demographic who identify with its pre-war attributes and quiet environment.
Tudor City is situated close to a variety of appealing spots that address numerous tastes. Grand Central Market offers an excellent grouping of gourmet food purveyors for all those who like to cook at home. Runners appreciate being relatively close to the East River esplanade and families enjoy going to Dag Hammarskjold Plaza for comfort food from the NY Milkshake Company. Moreover, the neighborhood provides its residents with a central location on the East Side and great transportation options, especially with its proximity to Grand Central Station.
